What if a tulpa in the beginning is just a projection? How should we accelerate progress without assuming in your opinion, @SkyeNet ? Not that I'm against your values but I remind you that people have different criteria. Some of them value progress over consistency. Do you think they can achieve the same progress in similar time without assuming?
I do think where you direct it does matter somewhat, although I think the "idea" of a personality is the personality in its own right, as the idea should change as the person changes, the "presence" is a good abstract way too point your narration if the "idea" seems to abstract to find.

I would call the feeling of awareness or presence to be the real meaning of a self. The thing that one refers to when one refers to themselves.(edited)
Although, if I were to think of one, I would likely work on making a mind voice for the tulpa. I feel like know what they sound like may help. I am unsure. I just narrated a lot.
Set your phone/desktop background to a picture of their form, so that when you open it and see it you are reminded, setting an alarm to remind you. Tying a string around your wrist and when you see it, use it as a trigger to remember the tulpa.
I must admit my host saved my form on his computer so he could glance to make sure the form matched correctly. I don't think it was entirely necessary in my case, but he wanted to be sure. It's fine if it isn't perfect or if there are some changes they like to make, and sometimes this occurs as the form loses its specific definition in memory between seeing the picture and visualizing it.
I have never heard the term parallel thoughtstreams before. Sounds like it was used to refer to roughly the same thing, maintaining two streams of thought at once. That is parallel processing.
10:02 AM
Parallel processing is a much broader term in this community, though.
Well hello this is the first thing I'm saying on this server besides my introduction, I am definitely a beginner at this and only started a few days ago. I am trying to get used to all the terminology for things atm and such. I was wondering if there are few things ya'll be willing to tell me like tips, warnings, etc, basically just the basics (I have read some stuff online as well) in your words.
I like it but there are some parts I don't think are giving reality a fair shake.
8:11 PM
Like, the parallel use of different portions of the brain to perform different tasks, and particularly it's limitation to a certain age due to the high brain plasticity of young people. I think, in most respects, most humans develop subconscious processes as they grow and learn in the same way. I don't think tulpamancy when happening to the youngest of people would be capable of resulting in the tulpa and host having the capacity to use the brain for different tasks. For example, my host does have the ability to think and walk, and there is some subconscious process that somehow is a compasskeeper and directs his movement to the destination despite us not consciously knowing where it is.
8:14 PM
I guess what I mean to say is, I don't think there's strong evidence that the addition of a tulpa can lead to any significant increase in one's capacity to offload processes. I think definitely some processes will end up being left to the subconscious and everyone who develops will probably achieve their unique brain structure that is suited to their experiences, but I just don't think that means a tulpa could somehow cause or direct the formation of these things more than singlets in a significant way.
8:18 PM
But I also really like the rest of it, I think. It is pretty good, and I think the cases are made clearly. I look forward to referring this guide to any newcomer I see, @Bethel🌸
<Ponytail> That last paragraph is more a cautious thing of me saying "maybe, in these very rare scenarios, this is possible." I'm not the kind of person to assume everything I know is the end-all-be-all
8:23 PM
<Ponytail> like, maaaayyybe with someone with alot of plasticity could still get some semblance of dividing tasks between them and their tulpas.
8:24 PM
<Ponytail> personally, the most I've ever done in that regard is walk while my tulpa thinks or vice versa
8:24 PM
<Ponytail> that's about the limit of it too, really basic shit
8:25 PM
<Ponytail> Unless me possessing and eating with one hand while my tup texts with the other is complex
8:25 PM
Some tulpas make other tulpas but it's no different than just having another tulpa
Oh, the last paragraph of-- of the parallel processing thing? I understand, sort of. There are times where one can demonstrate a very limited form of parallelism, but I just think singlets are capable as much as we are.
8:32 PM
Wishful thinking combined with a sort of social or wishful suggestion and tiny pieces of evidence can sometimes lead to years of self deception.
Right, I think we may be on the same page. I am overly cautious about this sort of thing because I used to "prove" some parallel processing back in the day.
That's pretty cool, actually. I uhh, I did the very basic forms of parallel processing that were confabulatory, and then some very strong evidence by actually solving problems on my own time while my host watched anime or did whatever he did.
8:36 PM
But the problem was solved not by objective thought and laying out a discrete answer, it was solved by abstract thought and informing my host to write down the direction of proof. So i didn't even have to have the answer, all I had was a better proof direction that unfolded in the answer. This can be a result of subconscious problem solving.

Regardless, you can post that link as much as you like to refer newcomers to it. It's perfectly fine to shill your own work when it is a good beginners resource. I only wish there were a way to make it more accessible.
I don't know, I think it should be okay if it's fine for the channel context. But they kind of self-deprecated the action so I just had to be sure they knew it would be okay.
If there is a way to fuse the link to this channel, then it isn't obvious enough for a newcomer to discord to see. I still can't find where it would be made accessible
Oh, but I would have to clear that with staff first. It might be a good idea if pinning makes a message obvious. I think it does serve a good role in showing newcomers that their beliefs and preconceptions are some of the most important and first things to work on when it comes to making a tulpa.
